I'm Anumeha

I help men, women, and children release suppressed anger, anxiety, and build more peaceful, loving relationships with their families.

My work comes from my own journey. healing from repressed anger, going through a divorce, raising children as an immigrant in the U.S., leaving a corporate career to find my purpose, and overcoming anxiety, guilt, and low self-esteem.

MY STORY

I did everything right, on paper…

MBA. Brand manager for a herbal brand of soaps in India. A marriage. Two children. A move to California in 2013 with the kind of life you're supposed to want.

And underneath it, an anger I couldn't understand why. It looked like a tight jaw at 6 a.m. It looked like being fine. It looked like snapping at my children over something small and then lying awake at 2 a.m. deciding I was a bad mother.

The moment I lost my cool and flung my son's iPad on the bed was when I knew something needed to change. The look of terror on my kids' faces was unforgettable. I felt a deep fear that I might be building a wall of disconnection that I might never be able to take down.

I tried the obvious things first. Parenting classes, meditation, yoga, spending 1 on 1 time with each kid, cooking more of their favorite foods, etc. Everything helped till it didn’t. None of them touched the thing underneath.

What finally moved was when I started visiting various healers in India. For the first time, somebody looked at the pattern rather than the symptom, and asked where it had come from.

It had come from a long way back. Some of it wasn't even mine.

Understanding the Reasons Behind My Anger

Here's what I discovered was really driving my anger, hurting my relationships, and keeping me stuck in painful patterns.

1

I was an Enneagram 9 and was a total people pleaser.

This meant suppressing my own opinions and needs and then exploding one day like a volcano.

2

In Ayurvedic terms my Vata energy was aggravated.

Which means that the space and air elements within me were higher than normal which was making me very moody and unpredictable.

3

I had inner child issues which were unresolved.

So my children not listening to me, was triggering my inner child who was feeling unheard and disrespected.

4

I carried a subconscious belief that I was a victim.

I carried a subconscious belief that I was a victim and that created my reality of being a victim. I was a victim of my husband and my children. This made me very angry.

5

I carried anger from the women before me against patriarchy.

They had been wronged and subjugated and not allowed to express their woo woo side or free spirit. That anger had been passed down to me.

6

I did not love myself.

I thought of myself as a bad mother and it got triggered everytime my kids watched excess tv or did not eat well.

7

I was in an unhappy marital relationship feeling helpless and stuck.

That grief, sadness, loneliness, made me angry.

The Changes I Experienced Through Healing

Here's how healing changed my relationships, restored my inner peace, and opened the door to a completely different life.

1

I started loving and accepting myself for who I was.

2

I stopped getting triggered.

It wasn't that I was able to suppress my anger. There was no need to suppress it because I felt healed at a deeper level.

3

My children started feeling safe with me and communicating more.

4

I started laughing and feeling more like my older self.

5

I found my life purpose.

It was to help others who are struggling with anger and anxiety and repeated patterns, to find peace and love again.

6

I started trusting the Universe more and more.

This allowed me to give my children more freedom without fear and excessive control.

7

My nervous system relaxed and my health improved greatly.

I had started grinding my teeth in my sleep, which went away. My body became more flexible as it released old trauma at a cellular level.

8

I was able to recognize that my marriage was not working for both of us.

I was able to respectfully and amicably end it.

9

I found the confidence to become an entrepreneur.

After 9 years of being a homemaker, I was able to create a new career aligned with my gifts, lived experience, and soul's purpose.

A DIFFERENT WAY OF SEEING HEALING

What I Believe

The beliefs that guide my work, my practice, and the way I hold space for others.

01

Your symptom is not your problem.

The anxiety, the insomnia, the recurring conflict with your sister, the health thing that keeps coming back. These are the smoke. I'm interested in where the fire is.

02

Some of what you're carrying was handed to you.

Childhood shapes a lot. But so do the patterns that ran in your family before you were born. The ways your mother was taught to survive, and her mother before her. You can inherit a belief the way you inherit a nose.

03

Insight alone doesn't heal anything.

Plenty of people can explain their own patterns beautifully and still live inside them. Understanding is the beginning. You still need to do the deep healing work to love and accept your inner child as well as your current self.

04

The answers lie within, always.

What people get wrong all the time is that they look for answers for their problems outside of themselves. The answers lie within, always.

05

You are not broken, and I am not fixing you.

I've never once met a client who was broken. I've met a lot of people running very old software that used to keep them safe and now keeps them small.
